The band · Updated 13.03.2026

Biography

Post Pulse is a modern metal band from Helsinki, Finland. Active for over a decade, the band released its third album, Lupaus (“Promise”), in May 2026. Fusing metal with rock and progressive pop, Lupaus has taken Post Pulse to a new level and earned 4/5 reviews from both Desibeli.net and Kaaoszine.

On stage, Post Pulse pairs the heavy, dark rock of the new material with the fast, ferocious death metal of its earlier records. Some nights the set even makes room for “The Hole”, the 22-minute epic that closes Lupaus and, somewhat unexpectedly, has become the album’s most-streamed track.

In October 2026, the band heads out on an eight-date European tour.

“I’ve got to admit that POST PULSE took me by surprise. It’s nice to see some of the more unknown bands giving out such great stage charisma.” Richard Forsman, Tuonela Magazine

Lineup Anttoni Välimaa: drums (As the Sun Falls, Dying Reverie, ex-Stygian Creations) Sam Roon: bass (ex-HUNG [USA], ex-Indestructible Noise Command [USA]) Tapani Rantanen: vocals (Sigyn, ex-Code Unknown) Antti Karhu: guitar, vocals, programming (Shining [NO], Sounds of Delusion, Diablerie, ex-The Man-Eating Tree, ex-Clock Paradox)
